Extra information:

Do you need a professional editor to look at your manuscript?

As a freelance book editor and copy-editor with 30 years' experience, I will provide thoughtful comment and constructive criticism on your manuscript, whatever stage it's at.

Where appropriate, I will advise on structural improvements and help you to shape your thoughts and rewrite the tricky sections. I will also tidy up the spelling, grammar and punctuation.

I have edited fiction and travel titles for many major publishers, including Allen & Unwin, Atlantic Books, Cornerstone Random House, Corvus, Faber, Guardian Books, Head of Zeus, Rough Guides, Trailblazer Guides and Trapeze.

I have also helped many fledgling and self-publishing authors. I am an Advanced Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).

In addition, I am a published author myself, having written several guidebooks about Thailand, Indonesia and Southeast Asia for Rough Guides. I therefore know from experience how important it is to have an editor who is both sympathetic and alert.
