An award winning reporter, writer and photographer, who is extremely flexible in his coverage.

Most recently worked for the Express and Echo in Devon as Business Reporter in addition to writing a daily consumer page for two months and produced front page exclusives for the paper.

Originally recruited as a Senior Feature Writer, wrote for both the Echo and Devon Today writing features on a wide range of subjects covering lifestyle, the arts and entertainment as well as business features. Transferred to the newsdesk as Senior Reporter.

During the period, wrote blogs for the newspaper's website and made several videos covering stories including one for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

Before freelancing for 6 months, worked as Senior Reporter for the Khaleej Times in Dubai. News reporting for the broadsheet included coverage in the UAE, Lebanon, Pakistan, Oman and Bahrain. Also wrote copy for the business times, the tabloid City Times and features for the Weekend magazine.

Lifestyle and fashion features: product launches such as  Nina Ricci, Bobby Brown, David Reiss, Daniel K. Sports coverage included the GT500, polo, parachuting and yachting. Entertainment involved interviews wirh celebrities such as Chris de Burgh,  Mary J Blige, Sir Willard White and Russell Watson. Plus reviews of theatre and stage productions such as Swan Lake, Chicago, and Dial M for Murder to ballroom dancing and the skills of Lionel Blair.

Other interviewees included Lord Jeffrey Archer, Martina Cole, Max Clifford, US General Kimmett, Rear Admiral Mike Miller and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak al Nahyan, the UAE Minister for Higher Education.

Particularly happy working overseas, has written travel features and provided coverage from many other countries worldwide –  Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Western and Eastern Europe, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, the Gambia and the United States.

For the last 8 years (continuing) has written articles for the monthly expatriate magazine, Nexus, which has a worldwide readership. Articles deal with any and all stories of interest to people working overseas. Oil and petrochem, construction, recruitment, health and lifestyle.

Available for 'day' jobs, short and long term contracts in the UK and worldwide. International commercial, industrial and media projects always considered. Happy to to work on an individual or multiple skills basis.
