I am a self-starter with many years experience as a journalist, lecturer and workshop provider. I can work in schools, colleges and universities as well as project manage and provide reports or promote organisations. I have written for most daily tabloids and women's weekly magazines as well as regional titles. I work as an associate lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University and provide journalism training in schools and colleges. I am a freelance journalist, lecturer and workshop organiser.

I have worked on a freelance basis for Manchester Metropolitan University’s Association of Creative Writing (ACWE) outreach programme for over three years.

I have delivered workshops as part of Manchester International Festival, Aim Higher, Excellence In Cities’ Higher Futures For You (HF4U), Gifted and Talented, and Tameside’s Shining Stars. Most recently I worked with CUBE (Centre for the Urban and Built Environment) on their ‘Places Matter’ project, which brought together architects and artists to work with pupils from Cedar Mount High School.

I work as an associate lecturer, teaching Writing Skills unit Learning and Employability and Research Methods at Manchester Metropolitan University.

I have delivered INSET training in teaching creative writing to teachers and delivered journalism and creative writing workshops to schools as part of the Continuing Professional Development Programme. I have provided numerous workshops in schools and colleges.
