I'm co-editor of Adventure.com, an online travel magazine, a freelance travel journalist, and co-author of the Rough Guide to Cambodia. Bylines include Rough Guides, Travel Weekly, The Guardian, Telegraph and The Independent. I take part in panel discussions on radio and at travel shows/festivals about travel writing/ethics, and have run pitching workshops. I've been freelance since 2002. Previously, I was a senior editor at Virgin Media and in-house at Channel 4 News, Orange and IPC Media. I'm a fast writer, tech-savvy, and a meticulous researcher. Many winters, I take extended trips, filing copy from Uruguay, South Africa, Polynesia, Laos and others.
