I'm a journalist with more than 20 years experience, now specialising in travel writing covering the UK, Europe and France. Whilst working as a staff reporter, I won a Newspaper Society Award for coverage of a flood disaster in Pakistan. I'm a Senior Lecturer in Journalism at Sheffield Hallam University, specialising in writing for magazines. As a published and prize-winning poet I've written profiles on writers such as Simon Armitage,U.A Fanthorpe, Joanne Harris, Berlie Doherty and Danuta Reah. I also review books.
