I have covered economics and business news since 1998, first at Market News and Bloomberg before joining the Independent in 2004. I went freelance in November 2006 after starting a fine arts degree. At the Independent I first specialised in banking, then moved over to pharmaceuticals and leisure. I have undertaken a lot of freelance work for the ESRC on social sciences and economics such as features, news stories, fact sheets, summaries and press releases. At the Guardian I write for the paper and the website on all areas of business and economics.
