ANGUS SIBLEY

Opposition to the theory and practice of market deregulation has been dominant in my writing since the 1980s. As an actuary and former member of the London Stock Exchange, I have become convinced through practical experience, and through study of academic writings, that market libertarianism is irrational, inhumane and does not work. I have written for newspapers and professional journals since the 1970s. I also write on Catholic theology, especially in relation to economics, and on environmental questions, consumer affairs, trade unions and transport.
