Stuart Forster is a features writer, journalist and photographer. He was named Journalist of the Year at the Holland Press Awards 2015 for his body of work on the Netherlands and Dutch culture.
Stuart specialises in travel plus food and drink related work, running the blog www.go-eat-do.com and taking on commissions from newspapers and magazines within the UK and abroad.
Stuart is available for commissions and welcomes contact from commissioning editors. He can send you PDFs of work published in magazines and newspapers including National Geographic Traveller, Thomas Cook Travel Magazine, Selling Travel and the Independent on Sunday.
Stuart trained as a photographer and in 2009 one of his photos was selected for inclusion in the NUJ's Photography Matters exhibition which showcased some of the best photographs made by NUJ members around the world during 2007 and 2008. Hecontinues to shoot stock photography and contributes to a number of leading libraries.
From 2004 to 2009 he was based in Bangalore, India. He can offer expert insights into living abroad and aspects of Indian culture. He contributed to the guidebooks Kerala (2006, Stark World Publishing) and Bengaluru and Karnataka (2008, Stark World Publishing). He also contributed to Driving Holidays Across India (2009, Outlook Traveller Getaways) which was named the best travel publication in English in India's 2010 National Tourism Awards.

His work was included in The Irresponsible Traveller book, published in 2014 by Bradt and featuring contributions from authors including Michael Palin, Dervla Murphy and Ben Fogle.
