TED HARRIOTT worked for more than 35 years in Fleet Street as a sub editor, feature writer, letters editor and 'stone sub'. He had also produced, written and laid-out magazines and has five novels, two books for young children and countless poems published. All that followed a four year stint in South Africa during the grim years when he edited Drum and Post.
