Dr Dinah Parums has more than 20 years of experience in medical and scientific writing, publishing, and editing.
Dinah received her undergraduate medical degrees from the University of Cambridge, her clinical medical degrees from Oxford University Medical School, and has a PhD from the University of Cambridge.
For the past two years, Dinah has worked as a home-based freelance medical and science writer, editor, and journalist since becoming physically disabled.
She has more than 40 peer-reviewed medical publications, with more than 20 years of experience in postgraduate medical education and has worked as a Clinical Editor for the British Medical Journal (BMJ).
Dinah continues to peer review for several biomedical journals. In August 2016, she was elected to the Editorial Board of Medical Science Monitor.
In support of her current role, Dr Dinah Parums is a member of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Association of British Science Writers (ABSW), the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA), the European Medical Writers Association (EMWA) and the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP).
Dinah is familiar with the current guidelines from the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the AMA Manual of Style (tenth edition) and the current Good Publication Practice (GPP3) guidelines.
